Volumes appear as raw block devices to your operating system, allowing you to format them with any filesystem and use them exactly like local drives—but with the flexibility to resize, snapshot, and migrate across instances.
Our block storage architecture separates storage from compute, enabling independent scaling. Need more storage but not more CPU? Simply attach additional volumes. This decoupled approach also provides resilience—if a compute node fails, your data remains safe on the storage cluster and can be immediately attached to a replacement instance.

Create Volume
Specify volume size and performance tier. Volumes provision instantly and are immediately ready for attachment. Choose from standard or high-performance tiers based on your IOPS requirements.
Attach to Instance
Attach the volume to your VPS, dedicated server, or Kubernetes node. The volume appears as a new block device (/dev/vdb, etc.) ready to be partitioned and formatted.
Format & Mount
Format the volume with your preferred filesystem (ext4, XFS, NTFS). Mount it at your desired path. Configure /etc/fstab for automatic mounting on reboot.
